Bristol and Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalitions with Greater New Bedford Host Screening of "The S Word" to help break the silence around suicide.
On Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 6:30 pm, the Bristol County and Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalitions in collaboration with the Greater New Bedford Suicide Prevention Coalition will host the first of 4 screenings of "The S Word", the latest documentary by award winning director, Lisa Klein. Admission is free and open to the general public. Pre-registration is on EventBrite and would help assure capacity is not exceeded.
About the film: "The S Word" will shine a light on a topic that has long been stigmatized and buried with the lives it has claimed. Klein's goal is to open the conversation, reduce the shame and silence that has clung to suicide for far too long.
Who: Anyone and everyone seeking to become better informed about mental and emotional health concerns and preventing suicide. Suggested age is 15 and up.
What: Screening of "The S Word" documentary with introduction by Director Lisa Klein and followed with a Q&A panel
